The Rev. Deacon John Hager

The Rev. John Hager was ordained a deacon in the Diocese of Virginia of the Episcoapl Church in March, 2026. He grew up in southwest Virginia, Arkansas, and most recently in King George County. He studied International Law for his undergraduate degree at Edinburgh University in Scotland. After a year working as a chaplain and religion teacher at St. James Episcopal School in Philadelphia, he studied divinity at Yale. He has served parishes in Virginia, Philadelphia, and New York City. John is an avid visual artist, a pianist and organist, as well as a lover of food and cooking. He  maintains passions for art and architecture, and loves exploring and studying Virginia's historic churches.
