
Dr. Wonhee Kang
Dr. Wonhee Kang, D.Min, approaches life with a heart full of energy. As an Enneagram Type Seven, she joyfully brings enthusiasm to her roles as a Worship Artist and church music leader. For more than 30 years, Dr. Kang has passionately supported multicultural ministries, advocating for the recognition and celebration of diversity. Her dedication extends to nonprofit organizations where she focuses on helping at-risk youth.
Her academic journey reflects her commitment to lifelong learning. Dr. Kang's studies have taken her from Sejong University in Seoul to Shenandoah University and Wesley Seminary in the USA, and finally to Leeds Beckett University in the UK. She has earned degrees in voice, church music, arts and theology, and expressive & play therapies, demonstrating her wide-ranging expertise and skills.
Originally from Seoul, Korea, Dr. Kang resides in Northern Virginia with her husband, Rev. Dr. Sul. They are grateful parents to two grown daughters and two cherished sons-in-law. Their family is blessed with seven grandchildren, whose laughter fills their lives with joy.
Their pastoral retreat, where Dr. Kang and her husband tend to an Asian plum orchard, brings them peace and purpose. Their lively home shared with a playful dog and eight chickens, embodies their balanced life.
