Craig Ames
Craig Ames hails from Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he began studying piano at a very young age. He grew up in Bethany United Methodist Church where the seeds of his faith journey, and his love of church music were planted. He moved to South Florida in 1983, and later completed a Bachelors degree in Education.
In South Florida, Craig taught music as well as overseeing music programs at several churches, and the VA Hospital in West Palm Beach. After moving to the Charlottesville area, Craig served as Director of Music Ministries at Olivet Presbyterian Church.
Craig and his husband Noel moved to Virginia in 2017. They love hiking, cooking, and playing with their two rescue dogs, Buddy and Flora.
Craig is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the people of St. Stephen’s Episcopal.
