Supper Club (location change):
We were scheduled to dine at Piedmont Steak house but have had to change the arrangements. We will now be dining at Luigi’s Italian Restaurant, located in front of the public library on Wed., Feb. 15th at 6:00 p.m. Call Jo Ann Houston at 825-9049 or email at joannejh@comcast.net for more details and to make reservations.
Shrove Tuesday ~ Pancake Supper:
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew will once again be hosting the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, on Tues., Feb. 21st. From 5:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. You can purchase tickets from Brotherhood members or at the door. The cost is $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family.
Revelation ~ Mardi Gras Party:
Revelation will be hosting their annual Mardi Gras Party on Tues., Feb. 21st. Details will be announced later. They are in need of cakes for the cake walk. Please drop off cake donations on Feb. 20th or 21st.
President’s Day ~ Closings:
The parish office and the Food Closet will be CLOSED on Monday, Feb. 20th in observance of President’s day.
Ash Wednesday ~ Feb. 22nd:
We will be holding three services: 7 am, 10 am, 7 pm
St. Thomas Circle:
Our Feb. meeting has been moved to Tues., Feb. 28th due to Shrove Tuesday. We will be meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the home of BJ DeJarnette. Please bring a dish to share for our evening meal.
Food Closet Needs:
We are in need of plastic bags. We no longer need egg cartons at this time. We are also in need of a 4’ chest freezer. Please contact Dick Rosica at 540-547-3644 if you have one to donate.
Prayer List Update:
If you know of a name that can be removed from the general or military prayer list please let Karen know in the office so she can make the update.
Prison Book Ministry:
Please drop off used or new books to the office for Coffeewood Prison. We need any language: Bibles (no King James), Sci-Fi, Fiction, Mystery, Recovery (12-Step), spiritual, religious.
Washable, Acrylic Worsted Yarn Needed:
Culpeper Close Knits is a group who crochet/knit afghans for wounded veterans at McGuire Veterans Hospital. They have an ongoing need for acrylic (washable) worsted weight yarn (A skein at Walmart is under $3.00). Please drop donations in the basket located in the office.
2012 Flower Chart:
The Altar Flower Chart for 2012 has been placed on the bulletin board in the Gallery so that you may sign up at your convenience. The dates are on a first come first serve basis so get your dates while they are available.
Offering from Country Café:
If you dine at Country Café and mention you are a member of St. Stephen’s, they will donate 10% of your total bill to the church.
